Challenge, Patience & Energy
Teenagers are just starting to find their way in the world, which can be tough. Our instruction towards teens is designed to meet them where they’re at with their confidence and help push them beyond that to be successful. We do this by providing them with a challenging curriculum and high energy instruction. However, our instructor team also knows that it is important to have the patience to help them through their struggles when it gets tough. Our goal is to use that perfect balance of being challenging and patient to build their confidence and make them the successful individuals that we know they can be.
Studying martial arts helps kids learn how to overcome their problems and learn important lessons – the kind of lessons that will follow them to your home, to the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.
YOUR TEEN WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!
Teenagers who study martial arts learn the benefits of self-control and discipline with every lesson. Our classes emphasize core values like discipline, respect, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others – in and out of the dojo – reflects on them as people and affects their ability to achieve their goals.
JUDGMENT IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL IN MARTIAL ARTS
Whether they’re in a martial arts class or in a competition, the difference between a good performance and a poor one often comes down to judgment.
Students learn how to make judgments on the fly using the information they have on hand in conjunction with their training.
They also learn how to differentiate between good instincts and bad ones – and to use that information to make judgments.
LEARN THE VALUE OF RESPECTING THEMSELVES & OTHERS
The respect component of Martial Arts is probably the most critical for our Teens. We regularly emphasize the importance of this as they grow into young adults and the future leaders of the community.
In our martial arts school, respect is a core discipline. Students must treat their instructor and fellow students with respect at all times.
Ultimately, teens who study martial arts learn that when they respect themselves, others will respect them, too.
HOW TO SET (AND ACHIEVE) GOALS
Teens thrive when they have meaningful goals to work toward. The study of martial arts encourages them to set and achieve goals on a regular basis. Each skill they learn and every belt they earn represents a milestone in personal growth.
The approach to goal-setting equips teens the tools they need to succeed at school, home, and life.
